We have developed a new concept for acquisition of high-resolution 3D seismic data, the PCable. This patented system consists of a seismic cable towed perpendicular to the vessel's steaming direction. An array of single-channel streamers is used to acquire many seismic lines simultaneously, thus covering a large area with close in-line spacing in a cost efficient way.
